In Jan 2012 I had my first PistePals experience. Although nervous at first about the whole solo traveller holiday Sarah was always on hand to answer any queries or questions, and prior to travelling I thought her personal approach was brilliant.
Upon arrival in Geneva I was promptly located by the transfer company and whisked to Morzine in comfortable fashion and delivered to the Chalet without fuss or delay ensuring an extra afternoons skiing. The chalet was large, warm and more than well equipped with ensuites and a sauna.
Once all my fellow guests arrived the atmosphere was one of contentment, friendly and jovial, and with a very mixed range of ages and backgrounds everyone quickly gelled and enjoyed the super afternoon cakes and local cuisine cooked by the chalet hosts for dinner everyday.
There was freedom during the week to do as you pleased or to take part in the group skiing that Sarah organised daily, including trips across the Swiss border, and to the many restaurants dotted around the ski area for lunch. Sarah's local knowledge always meant that good advice was close at hand whether it be where the best skiing was, or where the best food and drink could be located, even dealing with lost lift passes and organising repairs and maintenance of equipment.
I would definitely recommend PistePals, and if you find yourself wanting to Ski but with no one to go with they should be the first port of call for a guaranteed great holiday.
